Bugger there goes the average age.......

On October 25th The Ragster celebrated his 40th birthday with a session for the Grizzlies and a few hundred of his other mates. There was an obligatory soccer match amongst the kids and the usual hoarding of food by the Grizzlies. It was the first time in a very long time that many of the Grizzlie mates had actually met and there was the usual moaning about not being able to do adult ed courses and partners coming home smelling of beer, salt and vinegar chips and sweet chili sauce. There were a few remarks that we'd been in better moods than in past pennants but also wondering how much longer can it go on?

Well I can tell you that, judging by the mighty Machine we've got a few more years in us yet.

Scotty's parents were positively glowing with pride and all was going swimmingly til Crusty asked where Jared was. A deathly hush fell over the crowd broken only by the asthmatic wheezing of the pug.

Scotty gave a very gracious speech thanking the Grizzlies for making his life bearable and for being a constant source of inspiration as to how not to end up.

Martian showed up after the Oktoberfest with one of Killa's long lost school mates but the kids were getting restless and needing to vomit after drinking two and a half litres of coke and eating twice their weight in sugar coated chocolate things (budding Grizzlies every one) even the one that Nepelle was feeding like a true Grizzlie.

A good night was had by all except for Ned and Machine who could be bothered to show up for their mate party
